"DEAD MAN'S SHOES" TRAILER

The music at the beginning of the trailer corresponds to the message being sent to the audience about the brothers bond, showing that they care for each other and would hate to see the other one get hurt. During the trailer you see a group of guys attacking one of the brothers and then suddenly the music changes to a deeper tone and a slower pace showing the audience that the tension is building as they anticipate what the other brother is going to do to the group of people.

 The genre of the trailer is revealed through the use of costume as the person in the mask, who is killing people creates the thriller atmosphere for the audience as they wonder if it is the brother in the mask. The lighting that appears when the mask villian is on screen is dull and the use of flashing images suggests it is a crime as most crime genres use the convention of low light and an urban setting for the film.

The use of intertitles at the beginning of the trailer stand out because of the font size this clearly makes the audience aware of  the instituition creating the film. The rest of the intertitles in the film reveal little clues that hint the plot 'A brother's love' is used to show the audience that it is about two brother's and that something will test the strength of the bond. The next interitle is 'A borther's Vengence' this reveals that one of the brother's is angry with the group of guys who brutally hurt his brother and now he is going to kill them. This shows the audience that violence will occur and the people will die for what they did. The last show of the intertitles show the audience what the papers thought of the film they gave it 4 stars revealing that it is amazing and a gripping film to watch this hooks the audience into wanting to watch it.
